Living History Weekend - the Jacobite Rising

Lace Wars re-enactors portray the Jacobite Rising of 1745. Lace Wars is made up of a number of regiments depicting both military and civilian life during the 18th Century, specialising in the years 1740-1760.

With 2020 being the 275th anniversary of the uprising, Lace Wars will be transforming Avoncroft into a living history camp, with mock battles featuring cavalry and artillery, regimental camps of King George’s forces and the Jacobites and more.
