The Road to Aachen WW2 reenactment event will take place at Rikard's Mill Historic Park in Alabama. The event will include private tacticals and immersion time for reenactors, as well as public living history demonstrations such as "trench life" reenactments. German reenactors will portray the 246th Volksgrenadier division, which was made up of Heer troops, Luftwaffe ground troops, and Volkstrum, while American reenactors will portray C company 18th Regiment of the 1st Infantry Division. The event will culminate in a reenactment of the Battle for Crucifix Hill, where Captain Bobby Brown earned the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions. The event will be open to the public on Saturday and provides a unique opportunity for visitors to step back in time and experience life in 1944.
