Naper Settlement is a 13-acre, outdoor 19th-century history museum that serves northeastern Illinois as a unique educational and cultural resource. The village tells the story of how life changed throughout the 19th century for the people of northern Illinois in towns such as Naperville. 

The museum consists of thirty historical buildings and structures from the Naperville, Illinois area. With Costumed interpreters and hands-on activities to bring the museum's history to life.

Highlights

  • Martin Mitchell Mansion: a 12-room house was built with materials from Naperville businesses and stone from DuPage River quarries
